Description

Shepherd’s Pie that takes a comforting classic to the next level with turkey bacon and chicken ham.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a pan, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. In the same pan, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
  4. Add ground turkey, chicken ham, diced carrots, thyme, rosemary, and cook until turkey is browned.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and peas, season with salt and pepper.
  6. Transfer meat mixture to a baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
  7. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until the top is golden.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cheese on top before baking.
  • You can substitute ground beef if preferred.
