- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add the garlic, ginger, and onion to the skillet. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and the onion softens.
- Add the cabbage and stir well. Drizzle in sesame oil and olive oil. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender-crisp.
- Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for another 2 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
