Description

Delicious and indulgent salted caramel apple pie bars that are perfect for fall. A combination of sweet apples and rich caramel, these bars are a delightful treat for the season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 1 cup caramel sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased baking pan.
  4. Layer the sliced apples over the crust.
  5. Drizzle caramel sauce over the apples.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top of the caramel.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • These bars are best served warm with a scoop of ice cream.
  • Feel free to add nuts for extra texture.
