- 2 pounds russet potatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup cooked and crumbled turkey bacon
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
- In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the potato slices in a greased baking dish.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
- Add the remaining potato slices on top and pour the rest of the cream mixture over them.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
