Ingredients

  • 2 pounds russet potatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cooked and crumbled turkey bacon
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer half of the potato slices in a greased baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Add the remaining potato slices on top and pour the rest of the cream mixture over them.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
