Rustic No-Knead Rosemary Garlic Bread

Description

A rustic no-knead rosemary garlic bread that’s crusty on the outside, soft inside, and full of flavor. Made effortlessly in a Dutch oven.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 tsp dried rosemary)
  • Optional: coarse sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil, stirring until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and rosemary evenly.
  4. Cover and let rise at room temperature for 12–18 hours.
  5. Turn dough onto floured surface and gently shape into a loaf.
  6. Let it rest on parchment paper for 30–60 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 450°F with Dutch oven inside.
  8. Transfer dough with parchment into the Dutch oven. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove lid and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool on wire rack for 20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Use fresh rosemary for the best flavor.
  • Let the dough rise overnight for deep flavor.
  • Roasted garlic can be used for a milder garlic flavor.
  • Spritz loaf with water before baking for extra-crispy crust.
