- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 lb (450 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and trim the green beans, then pat them dry thoroughly.
- In a bowl, toss the green beans with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper until well coated.
- Spread the beans on the baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan and roast for an additional 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately with a squeeze of lemon juice, if desired.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for better melting and crisping.
- For extra crispy beans, roast at 450°F using a dark baking sheet.
- Frozen green beans can be used but must be thawed and dried thoroughly.
