- 12 large pasta shells
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, basil, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until well blended.
- Fill each cooked pasta shell with the cheese mixture.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Place the filled shells on top.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning to the cheese mixture.
- These stuffed shells can be made ahead and stored in the fridge before baking.
