Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, basil, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until well blended.
  4. Fill each cooked pasta shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Place the filled shells on top.
  6. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

  • For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning to the cheese mixture.
