A deliciously rich and gooey pumpkin spice cake that captures the essence of fall.

- 1 box spice cake mix
- 1 can pumpkin puree
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix the spice cake mix, pumpkin puree, eggs, vegetable oil, and water until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter and swirl with a knife.
- If using, sprinkle chopped pecans over the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter cake, add more powdered sugar to the cream cheese mixture.
- Pair with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
