Description

Experience the rich flavors of Pizza Rustica, a traditional Italian Easter pie, filled with turkey bacon, chicken ham, and a variety of cheeses.


Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 6 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 6 ounces chicken ham, diced
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then add the chicken ham and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, eggs, black pepper, salt, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
  4. Add the cooked turkey bacon and chicken ham mixture to the cheese mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
