Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon salt


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring the vinegar, water, olive oil, garlic, sugar, red pepper flakes, bay leaf, lemon, and salt to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and add the shrimp to the mixture.
  3. Let the shrimp marinate for at least 1 hour at room temperature or refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
  4. Serve chilled as an appetizer or in a salad.
