Ingredients

  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes


Instructions

  1. Peel the garlic cloves and set aside.
  2. In a pot, combine the vinegar, water, salt, and sugar. Heat the mixture until the salt and sugar dissolve.
  3. Add the garlic cloves, peppercorns, and red pepper flakes into the pot.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil for about 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  6. Transfer the garlic and liquid into sterilized jars.
  7. Seal the jars and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before use.
