A delicious twist on traditional Philly cheesesteak that combines pasta and turkey bacon for an indulgent meal.

- 8 ounces penne pasta
- 4 strips turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef or chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté the onion and bell pepper until soft.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Pour in the broth and bring to a simmer, then add the heavy cream and Italian seasoning.
- Stir in the cooked pasta and half of the cheese until everything is well combined.
- Top with the remaining cheese and allow it to melt before serving.
- Garnish with cooked turkey bacon and serve hot.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute the heavy cream with a lower-fat alternative.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor.
