Description
This One-Pan Chicken with Creamy Buttered Noodles is a quick and satisfying dinner idea. Made with tender chicken, egg noodles, and a rich, buttery sauce, it’s a family favorite that’s perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer. Stir in egg noodles, salt, pepper, and thyme. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are tender and the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Add mushrooms or spinach for extra texture.
- Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
- Freeze leftovers for up to three months.
