- 12 manicotti shells
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook manicotti shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Fill each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the filled manicotti on top of the sauce.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the manicotti.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add fresh basil to the cheese filling.
- Top with additional mozzarella cheese before baking for a cheesy crust.
