Ingredients

  • 12 manicotti shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook manicotti shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fill each manicotti shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place the filled manicotti on top of the sauce.
  7. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the manicotti.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add fresh basil to the cheese filling.
  • Top with additional mozzarella cheese before baking for a cheesy crust.
