- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup lemon curd
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warmed milk, melted butter, and egg, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread lemon curd over the top.
- Roll up the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before drizzling with frosting made from powdered sugar and lemon juice.
Notes
- For an extra lemony kick, add more lemon zest to the frosting.
