- 1 ½ lbs chicken tenders or chicken breast strips
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons olive or avocado oil
- ¼ cup sugar-free honey substitute
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Pat chicken tenders dry with paper towels.
- Whisk eggs and heavy cream in one bowl.
- Combine almond flour, Parmesan, and spices in another bowl.
- Dip chicken in egg wash, then coat with flour mixture. Press coating firmly.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium. Fry tenders 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F).
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a small saucepan, melt butter, sugar-free honey, and hot sauce until smooth.
- Drizzle or toss sauce over chicken before serving.
Notes
- For extra crunch, add crushed pork rinds to the breading.
- Use air fryer at 400°F for 10–12 minutes as a lighter option.
- Adjust spice by varying hot sauce or cayenne levels.
