Description

Crispy, golden chicken tenders coated with a sugar-free hot honey glaze. Perfect for keto and low-carb diets without sacrificing flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 ½ lbs chicken tenders or chicken breast strips
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons olive or avocado oil
  • ¼ cup sugar-free honey substitute
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken tenders dry with paper towels.
  2. Whisk eggs and heavy cream in one bowl.
  3. Combine almond flour, Parmesan, and spices in another bowl.
  4. Dip chicken in egg wash, then coat with flour mixture. Press coating firmly.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium. Fry tenders 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F).
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. In a small saucepan, melt butter, sugar-free honey, and hot sauce until smooth.
  8. Drizzle or toss sauce over chicken before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add crushed pork rinds to the breading.
  • Use air fryer at 400°F for 10–12 minutes as a lighter option.
  • Adjust spice by varying hot sauce or cayenne levels.
  • Pairs well with cauliflower mash or zucchini fries.
