Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into patties.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side or until browned.

  5. In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to form a slurry.
  7. Add slurry to the skillet while stirring to thicken the gravy.
  8. Return patties to the skillet and cook in the gravy for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Serve warm with gravy poured over the top.
