- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side or until browned.
- Remove patties from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to form a slurry.
- Add slurry to the skillet while stirring to thicken the gravy.
- Return patties to the skillet and cook in the gravy for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve warm with gravy poured over the top.
