- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups crispy fried onion rings
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the green beans, cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven and top with crispy fried onion rings. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can sauté the onions with the ground beef.
- Feel free to substitute canned green beans with fresh or frozen ones.
