Description

Funeral Potatoes are a classic comfort food dish, traditionally made for gatherings and celebrations. This version includes the delightful addition of turkey bacon for a savory twist.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds frozen hash browns
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 pound turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup corn flakes, crushed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine frozen hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, turkey bacon, cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix crushed corn flakes and melted butter, then sprinkle over the top of the potato mixture.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  6. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
