Funeral Potatoes are a classic comfort food dish, traditionally made for gatherings and celebrations. This version includes the delightful addition of turkey bacon for a savory twist.

- 2 pounds frozen hash browns
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 pound turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 cup corn flakes, crushed
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine frozen hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, turkey bacon, cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix crushed corn flakes and melted butter, then sprinkle over the top of the potato mixture.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Feel free to substitute regular bacon if preferred.
