This Florida Shrimp Pie is a creamy, cheesy, and citrus-kissed savory pie loaded with shrimp, veggies, and fresh herbs—perfect for brunch or dinner.

- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp butter or olive oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
- 1 lb cooked shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced red or green bell pepper
- 3/4 cup half-and-half or heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack or mozzarella cheese
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or dill
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Optional: dash of hot sauce or Old Bay seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prick pie crust and bake for 7–8 minutes; let cool.
- In a skillet, sauté garlic, onion, and bell pepper in butter for 3–4 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and optional seasoning.
- Stir in shrimp, sautéed veggies, cheeses, and herbs.
- Pour filling into pre-baked crust and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until center is set and golden.
- Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
