- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cold water, a tablespoon at a time, until mixture forms a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into circles.
- In another bowl, combine chicken, cheese, bell pepper, and onion. Place filling in the center of each dough circle.
- Fold over and seal edges with a fork. Brush tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
