Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Stir in cold water, a tablespoon at a time, until mixture forms a ball. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into circles.
  5. In another bowl, combine chicken, cheese, bell pepper, and onion. Place filling in the center of each dough circle.
  6. Fold over and seal edges with a fork. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
