Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties until browned on both sides.
  4. Remove patties from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until soft.
  6. Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl and stir into the simmering broth until thickened.
  8. Return the patties to the skillet and coat with gravy. Simmer for a few more minutes before serving.

  • For extra flavor, let the patties rest after forming them before cooking.
