Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties until browned on both sides.
- Remove patties from the skillet and set aside.
- Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until soft.
- Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl and stir into the simmering broth until thickened.
- Return the patties to the skillet and coat with gravy. Simmer for a few more minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, let the patties rest after forming them before cooking.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
