Description
A rich and creamy layered pasta casserole made with angel hair pasta, seasoned ground beef, and a blend of cottage cheese, sour cream, and mozzarella. Perfect for family dinners and leftovers.

- 8 oz angel hair pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: chopped parsley or basil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.
- Add tomato sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix sour cream and cottage cheese in a bowl.
- Layer half of the pasta in the baking dish. Spread the creamy mixture over it, then add the remaining pasta.
- Pour the meat sauce over the top and sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until bubbly and golden. Let rest 5 minutes before serving. Garnish if desired.
Notes
- Use ricotta instead of cottage cheese for a smoother texture.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
- Make it ahead and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
