Description

Golden, crispy wonton wrappers filled with luscious strawberry cream cheese filling, fried to perfection, and dusted with powdered sugar.


Ingredients

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup strawberry jam or finely chopped fresh strawberries
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Optional: chocolate syrup or extra strawberry sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and strawberry jam until smooth.
  2. Place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Brush edges with egg wash and seal into desired shape.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep skillet or pot.
  4. Fry wontons in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels or a cooling rack.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with optional drizzle.

Notes

  • Freeze assembled wontons for 10 minutes before frying for a cleaner shape.
