Description
Golden, crispy wonton wrappers filled with luscious strawberry cream cheese filling, fried to perfection, and dusted with powdered sugar.
Ingredients

- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup strawberry jam or finely chopped fresh strawberries
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 1 egg, beaten
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Optional: chocolate syrup or extra strawberry sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and strawberry jam until smooth.
- Place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Brush edges with egg wash and seal into desired shape.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep skillet or pot.
- Fry wontons in batches for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels or a cooling rack.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with optional drizzle.
Notes
- Freeze assembled wontons for 10 minutes before frying for a cleaner shape.
- Try raspberry or blueberry jam for variation.
- For a lighter version, air fry at 375°F for 5–6 minutes.
