Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a blender, combine walnuts, sugar, eggs, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased flan mold.
  4. Place the flan mold in a larger baking dish and fill the baking dish with boiling water until it reaches halfway up the flan mold.
  5. Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until the center is set.
  6. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  7. To serve, carefully invert onto a serving plate.

Notes

  • For added flavor, toast the walnuts before blending.
  • This flan can be topped with caramel sauce for extra sweetness.
