- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheddar-mozzarella blend)
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer. Add heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in shredded cheese until melted and sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- Use penne or rotini if bowtie pasta isn’t available.
