- 1 pound ground turkey
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup corn kernels
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, brown the ground turkey until cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the cooked turkey bacon, ground turkey, crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker.
- Stir to combine and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- In the last 30 minutes of cooking, add the corn.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For extra heat, add some chopped jalapeños or cayenne pepper.
- Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, or avocado for added flavor.
