- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup peaches, chopped
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for glaze
- 1-2 tbsp milk for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chopped peaches.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the donuts are baking, prepare the cheesecake filling by beating the cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Once the donuts are cool, fill each donut with the cheesecake filling using a piping bag.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with enough milk to achieve a pourable consistency and drizzle over the filled donuts.
- Let the glaze set before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the donut batter.
- These donuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for a day or two.
