Description
This cilantro-lime jalapeño salsa is bold, fresh, and packed with zesty heat. Made in minutes with real, vibrant ingredients, it’s perfect as a dip, taco topper, or marinade.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves, packed
- 2–3 jalapeños, seeded if preferred
- 1 small garlic clove
- Juice of 2 limes (about 3 tablespoons)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Optional: 1/4 cup finely chopped white onion or green onion
Instructions
- Wash and prep all fresh ingredients. Juice the limes, peel garlic, and deseed jalapeños if needed.
- Add cilantro, jalapeños, garlic, lime juice, cumin, salt, and olive oil to a blender or food processor.
- Pulse or blend to desired consistency — chunky or smooth.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Add more salt, lime, or jalapeño if needed.
- Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavor.
Notes
- For a smokier salsa, roast the jalapeños beforehand.
- Add avocado or tomatillo for a creamy or tangy variation.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
