Description

A delicious and easy-to-make chili relleno casserole that the whole family will enjoy.


Ingredients

  • 8 large chili peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned.
  3. Layer the chili peppers on the bottom of a baking dish.
  4. Spread the cooked beef over the chili peppers.
  5. Top with shredded cheese.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Pour this mixture over the layered ingredients in the baking dish.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set and golden.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cumin or garlic powder to the meat mixture.
  • Serve with sour cream or salsa on the side.
