Description

This Chicken Cornbread Casserole is a delightful combination of juicy chicken and fluffy cornbread that will become your new favorite comfort food.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 can corn, drained
  • 1 package cornbread mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, corn, garlic powder, onion powder, and half of the cheese.
  3. In another bowl, mix the cornbread mix, milk, and eggs until just combined.
  4. Grease a baking dish and layer the chicken mixture at the bottom.
  5. Pour the cornbread batter over the chicken mixture and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the cornbread is golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
