- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is cooked through.
- In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish. Spread half of the meat mixture over the potatoes, then half of the cheese. Repeat layers, ending with cheese on top.
- Pour the soup mixture over the layers in the baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
