- 8 ounces bowtie pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 ounces canned crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until browned.
- Drain excess fat and add the chopped onion and garlic; sauté until softened.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper; let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the fresh spinach and cooked pasta; mix until heated through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For a creamier sauce, add a splash of heavy cream before serving.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
