- 1 tbsp baking powder

- 1/2 cup unsalted cold butter, cubed
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture forms coarse crumbs.
- Gently fold in blueberries.
- Stir in milk and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden brown.
- Whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and zest to make the glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over warm biscuits before serving.
Notes
- Don’t overmix the dough to keep biscuits light.
- Use cold butter for best texture.
- Frozen blueberries work well; do not thaw.
- Optional: Brush biscuit tops with melted butter before baking.
