Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil


Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade and cook in the skillet until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a few tablespoons of the remaining marinade until smooth.
  6. Add the cornstarch mixture to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve the bourbon chicken over rice or noodles.
