Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh beets
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Wash the beets thoroughly and trim the tops and tails.
  2. Boil the beets in salted water until tender, about 30-40 minutes.
  3. Once cooked, drain and let cool slightly before peeling the skin off.
  4. Slice the beets and set aside.
